Ngorongoro Crater and The Central Serengeti Plains
Day 1 – Saturday, March 7th: Overnight Transatlantic Flights
International Flights to Tanzania.
Depart home cities in the afternoon and make an evening transatlantic connection and then on to Tanzania.
Day 2 – Sunday, March 8th: Arrival into Arusha
Evening Arrival to Mt. Kilimanjaro and Transfer to Arusha.
A Circle of Life representative will meet you at the airport in Mt. Kilimanjaro and escort you to your overnight accommodations in Arusha (transfer time about 1 hour). Upon arrival in Arusha you will check-in to your modern hotel and enjoy a light selection of food and beverages before retiring for the evening.

Day 3 – Monday, March 9th: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater
Wildlife Viewing at Lake Manyara National Park in route to Ngorongoro Crater.
You will meet your Safari Guide(s) at breakfast and receive a short briefing on the adventure ahead. Your adventure begins with a drive through the bustling city of Arusha and the opportunity to do a bit of browsing at local craft shops and markets, and to enjoy lunch en route. Your first game drive will take you through Lake Manyara National Park to observe the wildlife that congregates in this beautiful area (transfer time about 2 hours).
After enjoying your glimpse of animals in the wild, you will proceed to the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater (transfer time about 1 hour). Upon check-in to the lodge you will enjoy some light refreshments while you take in the majestic views from your new surroundings. The Ngorongoro Crater is a natural caldera spanning over 100 square miles, and is home to a diverse collection of animals. The Serena Lodge is strategically located on the crater rim offering a spectacular view of this remarkable natural wonder. Upon night-fall you will enjoy a full course dinner and the delightful hospitality of your African hosts.

Day 4 – Tuesday, March 10th: Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you will head out on an early morning Safari, descending 2,000 feet to the base of the crater. You will observe the interactions of predator and prey, including prides of lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, gazelles and wildebeest by the thousands. The vastness and beauty of the crater are truly indescribable. Throughout the day, your knowledgeable guide will also provide information about the diverse vegetation and bird life indigenous to the area. Your guides will find a secluded location in the crater for you to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch.
Following your eventful day in the crater, you will return to camp for a relaxing evening including a refreshing dip in the pool, a delicious dinner among beautiful surroundings, and the enjoyment of the comforts of your luxury accommodations.

Day 5 – Wednesday, March 11th: Maasai Village and Serengeti National Park
Maasai Village Visit and Scenic Flight to the Northern Serengeti.
Following breakfast, and en route to the airport, you will enjoy the privilege of meeting with Maasai villagers and learning about their customs and traditions (about a 1 hour transfer). This is a fascinating experience and a rare opportunity to see first-hand how the indigenous tribal people of Tanzania live today. During your visit, you will be allowed to take pictures and purchase hand-made Maasai jewelry and carvings if you wish.
Your short scenic flight will take your over the vast Serengeti Plains to the northern region of Tanzania, close to the Kenyan border and the Mara River. Upon arrival in Serengeti National Park you will meet your new guide(s) and immediately begin your game drive en route to our wilderness mobile camp. Your luxury wilderness mobile camp is strategically located in the northern Serengeti in order to maximize your game viewing opportunities over the next two days.
The panoramic views of the Serengeti landscape are breath-taking and the diversity of wildlife and habitat is unmatched anywhere in the world. Your optional afternoon game drive will begin after lunch as you continue to explore Serengeti’s many incredible natural treasures including the so-called big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Leopard, and Rhinoceros), as well as The Great Migration.
Upon returning to the camp, you will have time to relax and take in the incredible landscape, before enjoying a deluxe full course meal. You will relax in the seclusion and absolute comfort of your remote accommodations and never forget your nights spent in the African bush. Truly an extraordinary lifetime experience.

Day 6 – Thursday, March 12th: Serengeti National Park
Witness the Natural Beauty of the Serengeti Plains.
Following breakfast we will begin our search for the herds of Wildebeest and Zebra moving across the Serengeti. Deep in the heart of the largest and most diverse migration corridors of the world, the vast number of animals defies description. We will pack lunch on this day in order to give us the best opportunity to find and experience this amazing phenomena.
Throughout the day, we will search for lion awaiting their prey, leopard well-concealed in the trees, and cheetah deep in the savannah grasses.
Following a remarkable day in one of the last great places on earth, we will return to camp to enjoy a relaxing dinner and the opportunity to recount an unforgettable experience.

Day 7 – Friday, March 13th: Serengeti National Park to Arusha
Return to Arusha and Tranfer to Mt. Kilimanjaro.
This morning, after a leisurely breakfast while savoring one last look over the vast, endless Serengeti plains, we will return to the airport for our short flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha, we will experience a special farewell lunch at the Circle of Life Project Site, and build more special memories. We will make one more stop at KIA Lodge en route to wash and freshen up before our last transfer to the Mt. Kilimanjaro International Airport for our overnight flights back home (transfer time about 1 hour).
Day 8 – Saturday, March 14th: Arrive Home Cities
Late afternoon Arrival to Home Cities.

Transportation
Assistance with booking air reservations is available. If requested, you will be contacted by a representative at our Safari Travel Headquarters with flight options. Approximately two weeks before your flight, you will receive a pre-trip confirmation letter with your flight details and record locator number. Resort Transfer
Upon arrival in Mt. Kilimanjaro you will be greeted and escorted to private transportation. The transfer to the hotel will take approximately 1 hour. All additional transfers will be pre-reserved and handled by Circle of Life Safaris.
